Crisis hotline now available to those affected by Hurricane Irma in Florida

ST. PETERSBURG, FL, September 12, 2017 – Today, Morneau Shepell extended its crisis hotline to provide support for those affected by Hurricane Irma in Florida. For anyone accessing the hotline, the Morneau Shepell team will provide information on local resources available to people in the affected region and will offer help coping with the stress and anxiety associated with the hurricane’s destruction. This hotline is an extension of the support provided to those affected by Hurricane Harvey in late August.

“Throughout difficult times, including during hurricane season, it is important that we provide support to the businesses and lives of those within the areas we work,” said Stephen Liptrap, president and chief executive officer, Morneau Shepell. “We know that many people in Florida have been affected by the storm, including clients, employees and their family members, and other members of the community. As a result, we encourage anyone in the area that requires emotional support or information on local resources to call our Care Access Center.”

Morneau Shepell’s national 24/7 crisis support line, which was established to support affected communities and local relief agencies, offers professional emotional support to anyone in crisis and/or referral to community resources.
