LifeWorks iCBT program to be offered through Johns Hopkins Balance program for mental health

LifeWorks delivers innovative, flexible, effective mental health support through smartphone, tablet or computer

LifeWorks, a leading provider of digital and in-person mental health and total wellbeing solutions, today announced a new collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medicine HealthCare Solutions. Johns Hopkins will offer the LifeWorks internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (iCBT) solution as a component of its Balance™ mental health program. Participants in the Balance program will now have access to high-quality, virtual mental health services through the iCBT platform.

LifeWorks iCBT: an innovative, effective mental health solution

  • The LifeWorks iCBT offering is an innovative solution, guided by professional therapists, delivered through a secure, digital platform.
  • LifeWorks iCBT combines the benefits of in-person therapy with the convenience of virtual access through smartphone, tablet or computer for fast, easy and effective care.
  • Each participant is supported by a dedicated therapist, an assortment of online resources and a 24/7/365 crisis line, providing effective mental health care for a wide array of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, insomnia, and grief and loss.
  • Users of LifeWorks iCBT are supported by a nationwide network of therapists experienced in dealing with the psychological impact of stress and traumatic events.

Balance from Johns Hopkins Medicine: quick, easily accessible mental health support

Through its Balance program, Johns Hopkins HealthCare Solutions works with employers, providers and payers to address the mental health needs of their populations. Participants gain both a deeper understanding of their mental health situation, as well as access to a menu of options for the support they need – on their own terms and in their own time – and iCBT is the newest item in that menu of options.

Comment from Neil King, president, integrated health solutions and executive vice president, LifeWorks

“The pandemic has driven increasing levels of stress, anxiety and depression, so it’s more critical than ever to support mental health and overall wellbeing. We are pleased to collaborate with Johns Hopkins HealthCare Solutions to provide even more mental health support options to Balance program members. We continue to encourage those who need help to seek support.”
