Unmatched new service helps employees access further mental-health support that maximizes their benefits

As Canadians continue to struggle with their mental health, more organizations are recognizing the need to provide their employees with options to access continued, consistent wellbeing support. Mental Health Benefits Connect is a program that ensures seamless access to ongoing, specialized and high-quality clinical services that go beyond the support millions of Canadians rely on through their employee and family assistance program (EFAP).
Key features include:
- Confidential access to trusted, qualified therapists delivering services in-person, through video counselling, telephonically and digitally through AbilitiCBT;
- Shorter wait times than seeking support through independent community-based providers;
- Ability to continue ongoing therapy sessions with the same therapist used in EFAP sessions, ensuring consistency of care through a reliable source; and
- Assurance of the optimum clinical approach for each individual, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other forms of therapy.
Mental Health Benefits Connect is available for employees with access to the LifeWorks EFAP through their organization.
