Morneau Shepell further strengthens EFAP delivery capabilities with acquisition of Pro Health Group

Quebec organizations continue to receive enhanced health and wellness resources and high-quality service

TORONTO, Nov. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - Morneau Shepell (the "Company" or "Morneau Shepell") (TSX: MSI), a leading human resources consulting and technology firm and Canada's largest provider of employee and family assistance programs (EFAPs), today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Pro Health Group, an EFAP and wellness program provider based in Quebec City.

"Pro Health Group offers comprehensive expertise in mental and physical health, built around timely interventions with an accent on prevention, as well as support for employees and their families when they face challenges," said Julien Ponce, executive vice president, Eastern Canada and national leader of the consulting practice, Morneau Shepell. "These services complement Morneau Shepell's EFAP work in Quebec."

"Joining Morneau Shepell is a leap forward in terms of Pro Health Group's long-term growth and the services provided to our clients," said Geneviève Babin, president and chief executive officer, Pro Health Group. "Pro Health Group gains access to Morneau Shepell's clinical best practices, technology and worldwide presence, while Morneau Shepell adds an experienced team of employees that has consistently provided excellent client service. Our focus is now on a smooth transition for Pro Health Group clients."

Rita Fridella, executive vice president and general manager, employee support solutions, Morneau Shepell, highlighted the strategy behind the purchase. "Joining forces benefits each organization, employees and, most importantly, our mutual clients. Moreover, Pro Health Group's reputation will further solidify Morneau Shepell's position as the leading EFAP provider in Quebec, especially in conjunction with the acquisition of Solareh and Longpré in the last year. We look forward to joining forces with the Pro Health Group team and serving their clients, who will continue to benefit from the same high-quality care and support from the people who know them and their business."

This acquisition represents approximately one per cent of Morneau Shepell's revenue and is not expected to have a material impact on the Company's financial performance.
