Mel Bartlett appointed Managing Partner, Retirement Solutions, West Region and Lyne Ramacière appointed Principal, Vancouver Retirement Solutions

VANCOUVER, Oct. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - Morneau Shepell is pleased to announce the appointments of Mel Bartlett as Managing Partner, Retirement Solutions, West Region and Lyne Ramacière as Principal in Vancouver Retirement Solutions. Bartlett and Ramacière are both transitioning from within Morneau Shepell and have deep expertise in pension design, pension regulatory services and retirement planning.

Mr. Bartlett comes to Vancouver with extensive experience in senior leadership roles at Morneau Shepell, most recently as Managing Partner of the Company's Atlantic consulting practice. He also has experience in the insurance industry and working with public sector and corporate clients. Mr. Bartlett was involved in the development of the shared risk pension plan in New Brunswick and the implementation of a new sustainable pension plan design for the major public sector plans in Prince Edward Island.  Both of these efforts involved substantial collaboration with employers, union groups and nonunionized plan members.

Ms. Ramacière has worked with Morneau Shepell since 2008 and comes to Vancouver with 24 years of experience, working with both public sector and corporate clients. She has assisted with all aspects of her clients' retirement programs including plan administration, plan design, communications, advisory committees, accounting, financial management and actuarial valuations. Ms. Ramacière has worked on the analysis of the administration of the public pension plans with the Alberta Pension Services Corporation. She has also been responsible for the development of the national training structure of the consulting professional staff.

"I am very pleased to have Mr. Bartlett and Ms. Ramacière join the Vancouver team," said Norah Joyce, Managing Partner, Western Canada. "Having worked extensively with them both, I am confident that our diverse clients in the region will benefit deeply from their expertise as we continue to grow and enrich our Retirement Solutions offering in Western Canada."
